“We have carried out a development programme to improve our tool life on Tangential Komet milling inserts from 700 parts or components per edge.
Global tooling worked with us to develop the geometry, Insert coating and base carbide grades.
we are still ongoing after 2 months development at present achieving constant 3500 parts plus.
Not only have we drastically reduced our insert usage but we have increased our production by 20% due to reduced tool changes.
